About Athens City Animal Services
Athens Animal Services is a non-profit shelter dedicated to supporting lost, surrendered, and homeless pets within the Athens community. Each year, we care for thousands of dogs and cats, providing compassionate, life-saving support to animals in need.
Our mission is to reunite lost pets with their families, offer essential medical care to those who are injured or ill, and find loving, permanent homes for strays and surrendered animals. Through community outreach, education, and a commitment to humane care, we aim to reduce pet homelessness and improve the lives of both animals and the people who love them.
Whether it’s through adoption, fostering, volunteering, or simply sharing our message, there are many ways to join us in making a difference. Together, we’re creating a brighter, safer future for Athens’ animals.
